FUNCTIONAL DIAGNOSTICS

It is an ENTRY specialist check-up made by our physiotherepautists who make an overall assessment of the functional state of your musculosceletal system and who will recommned appropriate follow-up activities or therapy. The Functional Diagnostics is definately what we recommend to start in our clinic with.

WHEN IS IT ADVISABLE TO COME FOR THE FUNCTIONAL DIAGNOSTICS OF YOUR MUSCULAR SYSTEM?

I. Anytime, in terms of PREVENTION - it will help identify muscular system disorders due to muscle imbalance or one-sided body overcharge either by sports, work strain or incorrect body posture.

II. It is also good to come for the check-up AFTER AN INJURY OR A SURGERY - it will enable us to define the right treatment and rehabilitation for improving the extent of your motoric skills as well as for regaining your muscle force or lost good shape you had been in. In this case, if at your disposal, we advise you to bring along all the medical reports portraying the current state of the problem you have been experiencing.

THE CHECK-UP CONSISTS FROM:

DIAGNOSTICS BY BODY WEIGHT SCALES – by which we find out whether your legs are charged equally or, on the contrary, unequally.

DIAGNOSTICS BY PODOSCOPE – it is a modern diagnostics devise for flat feet examination by high performance polarized light which enables to observe and assess places with the most and the least charged feet parts. With the help of podoscope it is possible fo find out disorders of small feet joints, posture, pressure or rotation of heals.

INSPECTIONS – examination by sight, which is made primarily in standing position, but also in lying or sitting positions. We examine skin colour and sleekness, eventually edemas. It is complemented with a functional examination – DNS diagnostics, muscle tests, examination of the extent of motoric skills, special tests for assessing the current state of the muscle system. In addition, by inspection we examine symmetry or asymmetry of posture of each body segment and structure.

PALPAPTION – examination by hands and fingers, which determines mobility and resilience of your skin, subcutis, fascias, muscle structures or cicatrices, as well your tissue flexibility and elasticity.

AUSCULTATION – examination by listening to eventual splitting, clashing or floating of joint structures, for they may represent accompanying sign of some disorders.
